Giacomo Quarenghi –
the Master of Neoclassicism. On the Bicentennial of his Death
The meeting with the public, held in the Gallery of 19th Century Art (in the Room of Enlightenment) at the National Museum in Warsaw, with a talk concerning the presented works of Giacomo Quarenghi, will take place on March 2nd, 2017 at 5 p.m. Piotr Kibort, curator of the architectural drawings in the Department of Prints and Drawings, will present a lecture about the selected drawings. The meeting will also show the designs for the alteration of the palace in Nieborów (Poland), Alexandre Palace in Tsarskoye Selo (Russia), as well as an interesting and humorous image of Quarenghi by Aleksander Orłowski.
